Why We Need More Regional Subforums for UK and Canada
I am following up on a point someone made earlier about regional subforums. As a Canadian member I sometimes feel a bit lost in the sea of American centric discussions about brands that do not ship to Canada or gyms that only exist in the States. I would love to have a dedicated space to talk about Canadian supplement stores and local powerlifting meets.
The same goes for our friends in the UK. I am sure they would love to discuss the best places to buy chicken in bulk or which PureGym has the best equipment in their city. It would make the community feel much more inclusive for those of us outside the US.
We could start with just a few broad categories like Canada East and West or UK North and South. If they get enough traffic then we can break them down even further. I have met a few guys from this forum in person and it was a great experience but it is hard to coordinate without a regional board.
What do the moderators think about this? Is it too much work to monitor more subforums? I am happy to volunteer some time to help manage a Canadian section if that helps. I think it would really boost the engagement from international members.
