I used to be obsessed with MyFitnessPal. I would weigh every single almond and if I went over my fats by two grams, I would panic. I realized that tracking macros was taking over my life and causing a lot of anxiety. Two months ago, I decided to stop tracking entirely and it is the best thing I have ever done for my mental health.

I am now practicing intuitive eating and listening to my hunger cues. Surprisingly, my physique has not changed much, but my stress levels have plummeted. I am enjoying social dinners again without pre-logging my meal or bringing a digital scale to the restaurant.

Is anyone else considering a break from tracking? I know it is a useful tool for some, but for me, it became a cage. I am curious if others have successfully maintained their physique while eating intuitively. It feels so much more sustainable for the long term.
