Why Does Pre Workout Make My Skin Itch and Tingle
Every time I take my pre workout my face and ears start to tingle and itch like crazy. It usually starts about ten minutes after I drink it and lasts for half an hour. It is a very strange sensation and it can be quite distracting when I am trying to warm up for my sets.
I have found out that this is caused by beta alanine but I am wondering why it happens and if it is actually dangerous. I am using a brand called Bucked Up and it has quite a high dose of it. I am in the US and I want to know if this side effect is something I just have to live with or if I can reduce the sensation.
Do you guys like the tingles or do you find them annoying? I have heard some people say it makes them feel like the supplement is working but I just find it uncomfortable. Is there a way to build up a tolerance to it so it stops itching so much?
