I have been using the Whoop 5.0 for a few months now in Texas and I wanted to share my thoughts. I am mainly a weightlifter and I was curious if the subscription model is actually worth it for someone who does not do a ton of cardio.

The recovery data is definitely interesting and it has helped me realize how much my sleep affects my performance in the gym. However I find that the strain score does not always reflect how hard a heavy leg day actually feels. It seems to prioritize heart rate over muscular fatigue.

Do any other lifters here feel like the monthly fee is worth the insights? I am debating whether to renew my membership or just switch to a one time purchase like a Garmin. I do enjoy the clean app interface and the lack of a screen but the cost is starting to add up.
