I have been reading a lot about the Westside Barbell Conjugate Method and I am fascinated by the science behind it. However I am a raw lifter and I know that the system was originally designed for geared powerlifting.

Can the Westside method be successfully adapted for raw lifters? I like the idea of rotating exercises and doing speed work but I am not sure if I should be using bands and chains as much as they do. I have heard that raw lifters might need more volume and less emphasis on the extreme variations.

Has anyone here run a conjugate style program for raw lifting? What adjustments did you make to the max effort and dynamic effort days? I am really interested in the variety it offers because I tend to get bored doing the same three lifts over and over again every single week.
