We have been getting a lot of new members lately which is fantastic but I have noticed a decline in basic forum etiquette. I thought it might be a good idea to put together a list of the top 5 rules that every new lifter should follow when they join Muscle Talks. This would help keep the quality of discussion high and make things easier for everyone.

Rule number one has to be using the search button before asking a question that has been answered a thousand times. I am tired of seeing the same thread about creatine every single day. We have so much good info archived here if people would just take five minutes to look for it.

Another big one is being respectful even when you disagree. I have seen some heated arguments lately that get way too personal. We are all here to get stronger and learn from each other. I do not care if you are from the UK or the US we should all treat each other with respect.

What other rules should be on the list? I think proper thread titles and posting in the correct subforum are also very important. If we can get everyone on the same page the forum will be much more enjoyable for the long term veterans and the newcomers alike.
