Top 10 Mobility Drills for Better Squat Depth
My squat depth has been plateuing for months and I think it is down to my ankle and hip mobility. I am looking for the top 10 mobility drills for better squat depth that I can incorporate into my daily routine. I feel like my heels want to lift off the ground as soon as I get near parallel.
I have started doing goblet squats with a pause at the bottom and some weighted ankle stretches. I have also heard that the couch stretch is essential for opening up the hips but it is incredibly painful for me right now. I want to be able to hit a deep squat without my lower back rounding over.
Do you have any favorite drills that gave you a breakthrough? I am especially interested in anything that targets the posterior capsule of the hip. I am tired of looking like a beginner in the squat rack so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
