Top 10 Exercises for Knee Stability and ACL Prevention
My daughter just started playing competitive soccer and I am terrified of her tearing her ACL. I am looking for the top 10 exercises for knee stability and acl prevention that she can do at home. I know that female athletes are at a much higher risk for these types of knee injuries.
I have seen some programs that focus on landing mechanics and single leg balance. We have a Bosu ball and some resistance bands in the basement. I want to make sure she has the strength in her hamstrings and glutes to protect her knees during those quick cuts on the field.
What are the most effective drills for young athletes? I am trying to find a routine that only takes about fifteen minutes a few times a week.
