I am living in a part of the US that doesn't get much sun during the winter and I am looking for the truth about Vitamin D3 and muscle recovery timing. I know that Vitamin D is essential for hormone production and muscle function but I am not sure when the best time to take it is.

Should I take it in the morning with food or is it better to take it at night with my other recovery supplements? I have heard that it can be slightly stimulating for some people which might mess with sleep. I am currently taking 5000 IU daily but I am not sure if that is enough.

What is your Vitamin D protocol? I am curious if you have noticed any changes in your strength or your mood after starting a high dose supplement. I would love to hear from anyone who has had their levels tested and how they managed to optimize them!
