The Dangers of High Caffeine Pre Workouts for Heart Health
I have been reading some scary articles lately about the dangers of high caffeine pre workouts especially for young people. Some of these products have over 400mg of caffeine per scoop which is like drinking four cups of coffee at once. I am worried about the long term impact on my heart health.
I am in the US and I have seen some reports of people having heart palpitations or even more serious issues after taking these supplements. I want to stay fit and strong but not at the risk of my life. I am looking for advice on what a safe limit for caffeine is for someone who works out regularly.
Do you think the supplement industry needs more regulation on caffeine dosages? I am starting to think that we should all be more careful with how much we are taking. I would love to hear your thoughts on heart safety and supplement use.
