The Best Time to Eat Your Post Workout Meal for Mass
Does the anabolic window actually matter? I have been rushing home to drink a shake immediately after my last set, but sometimes it is just not convenient. I am wondering if eating a big meal an hour or two later is just as effective for muscle mass.
I am currently focusing on a high carb post workout meal to replenish glycogen. I usually have chicken and white rice. I have heard that insulin spikes after a workout are beneficial for growth, but I do not know if the timing needs to be that precise.
When do you all usually eat after your training? Have you noticed any difference in your recovery or growth when you changed your meal timing? I am trying to simplify my life a bit and not worry so much about the clock if it does not make a huge difference.
