Targeting the long head of the triceps for better arm aesthetics: Any specific exercises you swear by?
Hey everyone, hoping for some specific tricep advice here.
I'm really trying to get that 'horseshoe' look for my triceps, and from what I understand, hitting the long head effectively is key for that. My arms aren't small, but I feel like my triceps lack that specific fullness and sweep, especially from the side view.
I do plenty of close-grip bench, overhead extensions, and pushdowns, but I'm not sure if I'm hitting the long head optimally. I've read that exercises where your arm is overhead tend to emphasize it more, due to its attachment point.
So, what are your absolute go-to exercises for really isolating and building up the long head of the triceps? Any particular variations, rep ranges, or intensity techniques you've found make a real difference? I'm looking for that extra something to make my arms really pop.
Share your secrets for those killer triceps, please! I'm ready to try anything that has a good track record for bringing up that stubborn long head.
