Should We Add a Specialized Marketplace for Gym Equipment

I have a bunch of old dumbbells and a weight bench sitting in my garage in Vancouver that I would love to sell to someone who will actually use them. I am wondering if the community would be interested in a dedicated marketplace section here on Muscle Talks. I would much rather sell to a fellow forum member than deal with the crazies on Craigslist or Kijiji.

We could have sections for different regions like the US North East or the UK Midlands to keep shipping costs down. I know shipping a 45 pound plate is expensive but for local pickups it would be perfect. I have seen some great gear from brands like Rogue and Titan being sold second hand and it goes so fast.

Do you think we would need specific rules for the marketplace? I am thinking we should require a photo with a handwritten username and date to prevent scams. I have seen this work well on tech forums and it builds a lot of trust between the buyer and seller.

I am interested to hear if the admins think this is a viable idea. It would add a lot of value to the community if we could trade gear and supplements safely. Please let me know if you have any experience with forum marketplaces and what works best.
