Rogue Bolt Together Power Rack Review for Small Spaces
I just finished seting up the Rogue Bolt Together Power Rack in my small apartment in Montreal and I wanted to post a review. I was worried that it would be too big for my spare room but since it is a bolt together model I could assemble it in place which made it much easier.
The quality is exactly what you expect from Rogue very heavy duty and stable even when I am doing pullups. I also love that I can add a lot of different attachments later on like a lat pulldown or dip bars. It is the perfect solution for someone with limited space who still wants a professional setup.
Has anyone else used this rack in a small space? I am curious how you have it organized to maximize your training area. I am very happy with the purchase and it feels like it will last for decades. If you are looking for a compact but strong rack this is a great choice.
Awesome! I've been eyeing that rack for a while for my tiny home gym setup. How was the assembly process? Any tricky parts or did it bolt together pretty smoothly as the name suggests?
Nice! I'm curious about the footprint. Could you share the actual dimensions once it's all put together? Rogue's listed specs don't always translate perfectly to real-world space usage, especially with plates loaded.
I have the RML-390F which is similar in concept for smaller spaces. Rogue makes solid gear. Glad to hear it worked out for your apartment, OP. Those bolt-together models are truly space-savers.
How's the stability? For a bolt-together, I'm always a bit skeptical about heavy re-racks or kipping pull-ups. Any wobble at all, or is it rock solid?
Rogue's reputation precedes them for a reason. Quality stuff, even for their entry-level racks. You get what you pay for.
Did you get any specific attachments with it, or just the basic rack? I'm wondering about the dip bar or a landmine attachment for smaller spaces. Do they feel secure on a bolt-together?
For anyone else looking for small space racks, check out Titan Fitness. They have some decent T-3 alternatives that are bolt-together and often much cheaper than Rogue, if budget is a concern.
What kind of flooring do you have it on? I'm always concerned about racks on apartment floors, especially if you're not bolting it down. Any matting recommendations?
Awesome review, appreciate the real-world feedback!
Honestly, I still think a half rack or even a squat stand is better for truly small spaces. A full power rack, even a bolt-together, eats up a lot of room. You're losing floor space for other movements.
Make sure you periodically check all the bolts and nuts. With constant use and vibrations, they can loosen up over time. A quick tighten-up every few months keeps everything secure and safe.
What was the total cost including shipping to Montreal? Rogue shipping can be brutal, especially across borders.
Great review, MontrealMass! Super helpful for us apartment dwellers. It's tough to justify big equipment when space is at a premium but sounds like this one is a winner.
All in all, the bolt-together series is a smart move by Rogue. It opens up their quality gear to a wider market of home gym users who don't have a garage or basement. Solid choice!
