I have been dealing with jumpers knee for the last three months and it is not getting any better. I am looking for patellar tendonitis recovery time and best braces review. I am currently using a simple strap below the kneecap but I still feel a sharp pain when I try to jump or land.

I have read that it can take anywhere from six weeks to six months to fully recover depending on the severity. I have started doing slow eccentric squats on a slant board which I heard is the gold standard for rehab. I am trying to stay active but I do not want to turn this into a chronic problem that lasts all year.

Has anyone used a specific brace that actually helped them return to sports? I have been looking at some options from McDavid and Shock Doctor. I would love to hear about your experience with recovery and if there are any other specific exercises that helped you get back to 100 percent.
