I am currently debating between switching to a strict Paleo diet or trying out the Vertical Diet by Stan Efferding. I am a competitive strongman in Ohio and I need a lot of fuel but I also have some digestive issues when I eat too many grains.
Paleo seems great for quality but I am worried I will not get enough calories to maintain my weight. The Vertical Diet focuses a lot on white rice and red meat which sounds easier to digest. Has anyone here compared these two for actual strength performance?
I am looking for something that keeps my inflammation down but my energy high. If you have made the switch from one to the other I would love to hear which one gave you better results in the gym and on the scale.
