I have noticed that my resting heart rate has been creeping up since I started my winter bulk. I am currently sitting at around 72 beats per minute, whereas I am usually in the low 60s when I am leaner. Is this something I should be worried about?
I am eating a lot of calories and training heavy 5 days a week here in sunny California. I do not do much cardio because I am afraid of losing muscle mass, but maybe that is a mistake. I want to stay healthy while I am getting huge.
Does anyone else track their vitals during a hypertrophy phase? What is considered a normal resting heart rate for a natural bodybuilder who is carrying a bit of extra fluff? I do not want to sacrifice my cardiovascular health just for the sake of aesthetics.
