I have set a timer on my phone to limit my social media use to thirty minutes a day. I realized that the more time I spent on TikTok, the worse I felt about myself. Since cutting back, my self esteem has improved significantly. I am spending more time reading and being outside in Seattle, which has been great for my mental health.

It is amazing how much our environment influences our thoughts. When I am not constantly seeing curated versions of other people lives, I am much happier with my own. I am also being very selective about who I follow and I am not afraid to hit the unfollow button if someone makes me feel inadequate.

Do you have any strategies for managing your digital consumption? I think it is one of the most important things we can do for our body image in this day and age. I would love to hear your tips for staying offline and focused on the real world.
