I am trying to decide between magnesium glycinate vs citrate for my nightly supplement. I have been getting horrible night cramps since I started my new fat loss program here in Texas. I am doing a lot of sweating and I know my minerals are probably depleted.

I have heard that magnesium citrate can have a bit of a laxative effect which I definitely want to avoid before going to bed. On the other hand I have heard that glycinate is much more gentle on the stomach and better for relaxation. I just want something that stops my calves from seizing up at 3am.

Which one do you guys prefer for muscle issues? I am looking at the Now Foods brand because it is affordable but I am open to other suggestions. I really need to get this sorted so I can stay consistent with my morning cardio!
