I have a few stubborn muscle knots in my upper traps that are driving me crazy. I am wondering is percussive therapy worth it for muscle knots or should I just stick to manual massage. I have used a massage gun before but I am not sure if it is actually fixing the problem or just providing temporary relief.

I have heard that the rapid pulses can help relax the muscle spindle and increase blood flow which might help the knot to dissipate over time. I am wondering if I should be using a specific attachment or a certain speed setting for my neck and shoulders. I am in the US and I find it hard to reach the right spots with a foam roller.

What has your experience been with using massage guns for specific trigger points? Do you find that they actually get rid of the knots or do they just come back the next day? I would love to hear your advice on the best way to use percussive therapy for long term results.
