Don't forget the practice in your posing trunks/bikini. Sometimes poses feel different with the competition attire on.

That's a great point, @A4tech. Also, practice in your heels for women, and make sure your tan is done properly for your final practice. Everything makes a difference.

For first-timers, I really think a coach is essential. You don't know what you don't know. They provide an objective eye.

I skipped a coach for my first show, thinking I could watch YouTube videos. Big mistake. The feedback from a real person is invaluable.

Posing is a skill. Just like lifting, you need proper form and guidance. Don't leave it to chance on competition day.

I'm with @ArnoldS on this. Treat posing like another training session. You wouldn't skip leg day, why skip posing prep?

Seriously, just do it. The confidence boost alone is worth the money. You'll feel so much more prepared walking onto that stage.
