I have been seeing a lot of marketing lately for grass fed whey protein isolate and I am wondering if it is actually worth the extra money. I usually buy the standard Optimum Nutrition jugs from Costco here in Illinois but the labels on these premium brands claim better nutrient profiles.

They say that grass fed cows produce milk with more omega 3 fatty acids and CLA. I am not sure if that really matters when the protein is processed into an isolate though. Does the refining process remove those extra benefits anyway?

I am trying to keep my muscle building diet as clean as possible but I do not want to waste cash on a gimmick. Has anyone switched from regular whey to a grass fed version and noticed a difference in recovery or digestion?
