Is Fast Food Bulking OK for Hardgainers

I am a classic hardgainer and I am struggling to hit 4000 calories with just clean foods. I have started adding a Double Quarter Pounder from McDonald a few times a week just to get the numbers up. Is this a terrible idea in the long run?
I feel like as long as I hit my protein and do not get too fat, it should be fine. The convenience of fast food is so helpful when I am busy with work in Toronto. However, I do notice that I feel more bloated and thirsty after those meals.
Do any of you use fast food as a tool during a hard bulk? Are there specific menu items that are better than others? I am trying to find a balance between ease of use and not completely destroying my health while I am trying to get big.
