Is Beetroot Juice a Good Natural Pre Workout Supplement
I am looking for a natural alternative to traditional pre workout powders and I have seen a lot of people talking about beetroot juice. It is supposed to be very high in natural nitrates which help with nitric oxide production and endurance. I am in Canada and I can find it easily at the grocery store.
Does it actually work as well as a citrulline supplement? I am a bit worried about the taste because I have heard it can be quite earthy. I am thinking about mixing it with some apple juice to make it more palatable. I am mostly interested in the performance benefits for my cycling and lifting.
Have any of you made the switch to beetroot juice? I would love to hear about your results and how much you drink before a session. I am trying to keep my supplement stack as natural as possible while still getting the results I want.
