I am wondering if a lat pulldown attachment is actually necessary for home gyms or if I can just get by with pull ups and rows. I have a small space in my garage in Vancouver and I do not want to add a bulky attachment to my rack if I do not have to.
I love the feeling of a lat pulldown but I am trying to keep my build as minimalist as possible. I have seen some pulley systems that you can just hang from your pull up bar and they look like a great budget alternative.
Has anyone used those portable pulley systems for their back workouts? I want to know if they are smooth enough to be effective or if they are just a hassle to set up. I am trying to balance my gains with my available floor space!
