Intermittent Fasting on a Vegan Diet for Maximum Fat Loss
I am currently living in Los Angeles and the pressure to stay lean is real! I have been vegan for two years and I am looking to drop about ten pounds of body fat. I am considering adding intermittent fasting to my routine, specifically the 16 8 method.
My plan is to have my first meal around 1 PM after my morning fasted cardio. Does anyone have experience combining a plant based diet with fasting? I am worried about getting enough protein in that smaller eating window without feeling way too full.
I usually have a large salad with tofu and seeds for my first meal. Do you think this is a good strategy for fat loss or should I be worried about my metabolism slowing down? I would love to hear any tips for staying disciplined during the fasting hours.
