How to Use Tart Cherry Juice for Faster Muscle Recovery
I have been reading some interesting studies about how to use tart cherry juice for faster muscle recovery. It is supposed to be loaded with anthocyanins that reduce oxidative stress and inflammation after a hard workout. I am in the UK and I have seen the CherryActive concentrate in some health food stores.
Do you drink it straight or mix it into a post workout shake? I am wondering if the timing matters for the best results. I am currently training for a half marathon and my legs are constantly sore. I would love to find a natural way to speed up the repair process.
Has anyone here actually noticed a decrease in DOMS after using tart cherry juice? I am a bit worried about the sugar content but if it helps me get back to training faster I am willing to give it a try. Let me know your recipes and when you usually drink it!
