I see a lot of athletes wearing colorful tape on their knees and I am wondering if it actually does anything or if it is just a placebo. I have some mild instability in my right knee after a ligament strain and I am considering trying some KT tape for my next workout.
Does the application method really matter or can I just slap it on? I have seen some tutorials online but they all seem to have different techniques for different issues. I am specifically looking for support during squats and lunges.
If you have used kinesiology tape did you find it actually helped with the pain or stability? I am a bit skeptical but if it can provide even a small benefit I am willing to give it a shot. Please let me know which brand you recommend as well.
