How to Use a Yoga Strap for Deep Stretching
I just bought a yoga strap and I am looking for how to use a yoga strap for deep stretching at home. I have very tight hamstrings and I find it impossible to reach my feet while sitting on the floor. I am hoping that the strap will help me get into the right positions without straining my back.
I have seen some people use it for their shoulders as well by doing some overhead passes. I am also wondering if it is good for hip mobility exercises like the reclining pigeon pose. I want to build a routine that I can do for ten minutes every evening to help me unwind and stay flexible.
Do you have any favorite stretches that are made better with a strap? I am in Canada and I find that having a few simple tools at home makes it much easier to stay consistent with my mobility work. I would love to hear your suggestions for a beginner friendly strap routine!
