I have been struggling with some lower back stiffness after long shifts at the office. I bought a TriggerPoint foam roller but I am not entirely sure how to use a foam roller for back pain relief without making things worse. I have heard conflicting advice about rolling directly on the lumbar spine.

So far I have just been rolling my upper back and it feels amazing but my lower back is still quite tight. Should I be focusing more on my glutes and hamstrings to help my back? I have also heard that rolling the lats can make a big difference for overhead mobility and overall spinal comfort.

Does anyone have a specific video or guide they recommend for a safe back rolling routine? I want to make sure I am doing this correctly so I do not end up with an injury. Cheers for any help you can provide!
