How to Treat Tennis Elbow From Heavy Bench Press
The lateral epicondylitis is killing my bench press progress lately. It started as a dull ache near my elbow but now I can barely grip the bar without sharp pain. I think I overdid it with the volume during my last peaking block in the gym.
I have started using a FlexBar for the Tyler Twist exercise which seems to provide some temporary relief. I also purchased a compression sleeve but I am not sure if it is actually helping the healing process or just masking the pain. Does anyone have experience with eccentric loading for this specific injury?
I do not want to stop training entirely because I have a local meet in London coming up in June. Should I switch to neutral grip dumbbell presses for a while? I am desperate to keep my chest strength while this heals up.
