I am dealing with some serious humidity in my garage gym in Texas and I am worried about my bars and plates rusting. I have already seen some spots appearing on my favorite barbell and it is breaking my heart.

I have tried wiping everything down with oil after my workouts but the air is just so thick. I am thinking about getting a dehumidifier but I am not sure if a portable one will be enough for a three car garage.

Does anyone have a routine for keeping their gear rust free in a humid climate? I have also seen people using those big fans to keep the air moving but I do not know if that actually helps with the moisture. If you have a secret weapon against rust please let me know!
