My deadlift is getting close to the 500lb mark but my grip is starting to become the limiting factor. I can pull the weight off the floor but I am losing it near the lockout because my hands just cannot hold on any longer.

I have been using straps for my top sets but I want to be able to pull this weight raw in a meet. I have started adding some timed hangs and farmer carries at the end of my sessions but I am not sure if that is the most efficient way to build specific grip strength for the deadlift.

Do you have any specific exercises that helped you secure a heavy deadlift? I have heard that static holds with the barbell are good but I am open to any suggestions. I really want to stop relying on straps so I can feel confident on the platform later this year.
