How to Improve Hip Internal Rotation
I have realized that my hip internal rotation is almost non existent and I think it is affecting my squat and my gait. I am looking for how to improve hip internal rotation with some simple daily exercises. I find that my knees want to cave in when I am lifting and I think this might be the reason why.
I have started doing the 90/90 stretch which is very challenging for me. I am also trying some seated internal rotation drills with a yoga block. I am in Canada and I spend a lot of time sitting which I know is not helping my hip mobility. I want to build some resilient and functional hips for my long term health.
Does anyone have a favorite routine for this specific issue? I find it hard to even feel the right muscles working during these stretches. I would love some tips on how to properly cue the movement so I am not just compensating with my lower back. Any advice would be amazing!
