I spend a lot of time in the saddle on the weekends and my hips are always tight for days afterwards. I am looking for how to fix tight hip flexors after cycling so I can walk normally on Mondays. I feel like I am constantly in a flexed position which is making my glutes feel weak and inactive.

I have tried some basic lunges and the classic psoas stretch but the relief never seems to last. I am wondering if I should be strengthening my core more or if I need to change my bike fit. I have heard that a tight rectus femoris can also contribute to that pinched feeling in the front of the hip.

Does anyone have a post ride routine that actually works? I am looking for a few movements I can do as soon as I get off the bike. I have seen some people use a lacrosse ball to release the TFL but that sounds quite intense. Any tips would be awesome!
