How to Eat Paleo at a Restaurant for Fitness Success
Sometimes you just have to do your best and not let perfection be the enemy of good. If you are travelling and options are truly limited, choose the least bad option, enjoy your company, and get back on track with your next meal. Stressing too much is not Paleo either!
@MindfulMuncher, I could not agree more. A little flexibility now and then is part of a sustainable lifestyle. The goal is long-term health and fitness, not absolute adherence every single minute. Do your best and move on!
I have found that places offering "build your own" bowls or substantial salad bars can be excellent. You can load up on greens, protein like grilled chicken or steak, and plenty of non-starchy vegetables. Just watch out for croutons, cheese, and non-Paleo dressings.
@WellnessWarrior, that is a fantastic suggestion! Protein bowls are increasingly popular. Just be sure to specifically ask about the oils used to cook the proteins and any marinades, as they can sometimes contain hidden sugars or non-compliant ingredients.
