How to Combine Pre Workout with Intermittent Fasting Correctly
I have been doing intermittent fasting for a few months and I usually train at the end of my fast. I am wondering how to combine my pre workout with this routine correctly. I am in the US and I am worried that the sweeteners or the calories in the pre workout might break my fast.
Are there any specific brands that are known for being fasting friendly? I have heard that branched chain amino acids can cause an insulin spike which would end the fasted state. I want to get the energy boost for my workout without losing the benefits of the fast.
What is your strategy for pre workout while fasting? Do you stick to black coffee and raw ingredients or have you found a clean product that works? I would love to hear from anyone else who trains fasted and uses supplements. Any tips for staying in a fat burning state would be great!
