I have been on a strict ketogenic diet for three months to manage my blood sugar but I am worried about my performance in the gym. My bench press has stalled and I feel like I do not have that explosive power during my heavy sets.
I am trying to stay in ketosis while still putting on size. I have been eating a lot of ribeye steak and avocados here in Texas but I wonder if I need more targeted carbohydrates around my workout. Has anyone tried the targeted keto diet or TKD?
I really do not want to go back to a high carb lifestyle because I feel so much better mentally on keto. Would love to hear from any powerlifters or bodybuilders who have made this work long term without losing their strength gains.
