I spent most of my twenties either bingeing or strictly dieting and it has been a long road to build a healthy relationship with food and exercise. I used to view the gym as a punishment for what I ate the day before. Now I am trying to see it as a way to celebrate what my body can do.

I have started using an app called Recovery Record which helps me track my feelings around food without focusing on calories. It has been a game changer for me. I am also trying to incorporate more intuitive movement like walking or yoga instead of just grinding away on the treadmill.

Do you have any tips for someone just starting this journey? I still have days where I feel guilty for eating a biscuit or skipping a workout. I would love to hear how you transitioned away from a restrictive mindset while still staying active and healthy.
