How to Build a Budget Home Gym for Under 1000 Dollars
Hey everyone! I have been looking into how to build a budget home gym for under 1000 dollars and I think I have finally cracked the code. I am based in Illinois and I managed to snag a power rack and some iron plates for a steal.
The trick was checking local listings every single morning before work. I found that if you wait until the weekend most of the good stuff is already gone. I also decided to go with iron plates instead of bumpers to save a few hundred dollars since I do not do any Olympic lifting.
What do you all think are the most essential pieces for a first timer? I currently have a rack, a barbell, and about three hundred pounds of weight. I am debating if I should add a bench next or look for some used dumbbells. Let me know your thoughts!
