I have been reading a lot of conflicting advice lately regarding high volume training versus low volume for muscle growth. Some guys at my local gym in London swear by doing 20 plus sets per body part, while others say that is just junk volume.
I personally have found that my recovery is much better when I stick to around 10 to 12 hard sets, but I am worried I am leaving gains on the table. It is hard to know who to trust when everyone has a different opinion on Instagram and TikTok.
What is the sweet spot for you guys? I am trying to build a classic physique and I do not want to burn out my central nervous system by doing too much every day. Do you find that higher volume actually leads to more hypertrophy or just more fatigue?
