Hamstring Strain Rehab Exercises for Sprinters and Lifters
I pulled my hamstring during a sprint session and I am struggling to get back to full speed. I have been doing a lot of isometric holds and Nordic hamstring curls as part of my rehab. The Nordics are incredibly difficult but I have heard they are the best for preventing future injuries.
How do you guys progress your hamstring rehab? I am currently doing light RDLs and leg curls but I am afraid to really open up the throttle on my running. I do not want to re-tear it and be out for even longer.
I am also wondering if there are any specific supplements that help with muscle strains. I have been taking extra protein and creatine but I am not sure if they actually speed up the healing of the muscle fibers. Any advice from fellow sprinters in Canada would be awesome.
