I am trying to decide between glutamine vs BCAAs for dealing with post workout soreness. I am in the US and I have been doing some very high volume bodybuilding training lately. I am constantly sore and I want to know which of these supplements is actually more effective for recovery.

I have heard that Glutamine is great for gut health and immune support which can be depleted by hard training. BCAAs are obviously the building blocks for muscle tissue. I am wondering if it is better to take them during the workout or immediately afterwards for the best results.

Which one has made the biggest difference for you? I am looking for a supplement that actually reduces the duration of DOMS so I can stay on my six day a week schedule. I would love to hear your thoughts on whether one is better than the other or if I should just use both!
