I am thinking about switching from a 5 day split to a full body routine 3 times a week because of my new job in the oil fields. I will only have Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to train properly. Can I still make decent hypertrophy gains this way?
I am planning on focusing on heavy compounds like squats, deadlifts, and presses every session but with different variations. I am worried that I will not be able to get enough volume for specific parts like the rear delts or calves.
Has anyone else had success with a lower frequency but higher intensity approach? I see a lot of people saying that 3 days is for beginners, but I have been lifting for years and I think I can make it work if I push hard enough. What do you think?
