I am currently six weeks post-op for a distal bicep tendon repair. I tore it while doing heavy sandbag carries and it was a complete rupture. The surgery went well but the rehab is incredibly slow and boring. I am just starting to do some very light active range of motion.

I am curious to hear from others who have had this surgery. When were you allowed to start lifting anything heavier than a coffee cup? My surgeon is very conservative and I do not want to rush it but I also do not want to lose all my hard earned muscle mass.

Are there any specific exercises that helped you regain your supination and flexion strength? I am also doing a lot of grip work to keep my hand strong. It is a long road and I would appreciate any insight from people who have been through the same thing in the UK.
