I am a bit confused about the net calories feature on some of these tracking apps. If I eat 2000 calories and my Fitbit says I burned 500 calories from a run does that mean I should eat an extra 500 calories to stay on track?
I have read conflicting advice on this. Some people say never eat back your exercise calories because the watches are not accurate. Others say you need to fuel the work. I am trying to lose about ten pounds before summer.
What is the general consensus here? I do not want to accidentally overeat but I also do not want to be in such a massive deficit that I feel like garbage. I am mostly doing cardio and light weights right now.
