I have been a member of several different fitness forums over the years including some of the big ones in the UK and the US. I wanted to start a discussion about what makes Muscle Talks unique and where we might be falling behind the competition. I think our community is much friendlier than the folks over at some of the older legacy sites.

One thing I have noticed is that other sites have much more active regional subforums. For example a dedicated section for London or New York lifters to organize meetups at the local Virgin Active or Equinox. I think we have the numbers now to start doing something similar to help people connect in the real world.

The mobile experience on some of the newer sites is a bit more polished with gesture controls and better dark mode options. However I think our content quality is much higher here because we do not allow as much fluff. I really value the honest feedback I get on my physique updates.

How do you think we compare to the big subreddits or Facebook groups? Personally I find the forum format much better for long term discussions because threads do not just disappear after a few hours. I would love to hear your thoughts on what we can learn from other platforms.
