Comparing Loop Bands vs Tube Bands with Handles for Full Body Workouts
Evening everyone,
I'm looking to add resistance bands to my home workout routine, but I'm a bit confused by all the different types out there. Specifically, I'm trying to decide between the continuous loop bands (like the big powerlifting ones) and the tube bands with handles.
From what I can tell, loop bands seem great for lower body work like squats and glute bridges, and also for assistance with pull-ups. Tube bands with handles look more versatile for upper body exercises, sort of mimicking dumbbells or cables.
Has anyone here used both extensively for full-body workouts? What are the pros and cons of each in your experience? Is one better for specific muscle groups or types of movements? I'm aiming for a good mix of strength and hypertrophy. Any brand recommendations would be a bonus too!
