I had a grade 2 tear last year. It took me a full 4 months before I felt confident enough for a short, slow jog. I started with walking backwards on a treadmill, then forward at a brisk pace, then very gentle intervals. Don't compare your recovery to others, everyone's body is different. You'll get there!

@SteadyStride, 4 months sounds like a long time but it's reassuring to hear a success story after taking it slow. How long after your initial tear did you start doing walking backwards/treadmill work?
