I recently found out that I have a gluten intolerance so I have had to completely overhaul my diet. I am a hockey player here in Toronto and I need to stay big and strong. I am finding it hard to get enough quality carbs without my usual pasta and bread.
I have been eating a lot of potatoes and rice but I am looking for more variety to keep my meals interesting. Are there any gluten free grains that are particularly good for muscle building? I have tried quinoa but it is a bit light for my needs.
Also has anyone found a good gluten free protein powder that does not taste like chalk? Most of the ones I have found in Canada are pretty terrible. I would love some advice on how to keep my calories high while avoiding gluten entirely.
